Originally developed in partnership with the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) in the UK and formerly known as the ISEB Common Pre-Test, this online, adaptive assessment provides a standardised measure of ability and attainment for pupils aged 10 to 12 It is designed to support the applications process by giving high schools information about prospective pupils’ attainment and potential.
The test is in multiple-choice format and takes 2 hours 30 minutes to complete in total. It covers four areas – verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English and mathematics, giving consistency across each cohort. You can either sit each section consecutively or in separate sessions.
Marking and results are managed electronically, and each candidate is awarded a Standard Age Score.
