Data Seminars

Data Seminars

Tuesday 04 February, 09:00 - Thursday 30 July, 12:00

These seminars provide comprehensive introduction to the way many international schools are using a combination of assessments that provide data on students’ ability, attainment and attitudes to learning in order to personalise teaching and learning, improve academic performance and support whole school evaluation.

We will outline how the data can help schools to:

  • Measure the cognitive ability of each individual, including EAL students
  • Personalise and differentiate teaching within classrooms
  • Identify Gifted and SEN students, as well as underachievers
  • Support wellbeing initiatives
  • Measure attainment and progress in reading
  • Identify the specific support needs of second language learners

These seminars will provide an introduction to assessments published by GL Education including the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4), Progress Test Series (PT Series) and Pupil Attitudes to Self and School (PASS) survey, while also introducing case studies and examples of best practice from international schools around the world for those already using GL Education assessments.

More dates are always being added, so do check back.

Due to recent events, all seminars have been cancelled. Please do check under Events to find webinars and online workshops that you can attend.
