Subject dashboards
The subject dashboards provide insight and allow you to analyse and compare subject attainment and value-added for your school.
Our Value-Added Service, in partnership with FFT, provides a quantifiable measure of the impact your school’s teaching has had on its students. The service uses CAT4 to consider the starting point of each student which is then compared to actual exam performance to create a value-added score.
The information is delivered via an easy to use dynamic dashboard that allows you to carry out detailed analysis into the performance of groups, subjects, cohorts and individual students. You can also compare your results against the average of other schools using the service and monitor trends over time.
This service is currently available to our CAT4 customers in international schools, UK independent senior schools and in post primary schools in Northern Ireland.

Compare and analyse performance of CAT4 ability groups via the student group dashboards to determine where your school is making the greatest impact and where there may be room for improvement.
Visualise and evaluate student performance via scatterplot diagrams, comparing anticipated and actual grades for each subject and for overall averages.
The school summary dashboard provides an overview of your school’s attainment and value-added in comparison to the UK and international schools using the service.

This service is currently available to our CAT4 customers in international schools, UK independent senior schools and in post primary schools in Northern Ireland. Students need to have sat CAT4 at least one academic year prior to them sitting their GCSE, IGCSE or IB exams.
After completing a consent form giving us permission to access your CAT4 data from Testwise or TRS, we upload this data for you to a secure server for FFT to view. You then upload your own GCSE, IGCSE or IB results data to the FFT platform for analysis.
Indicated grades can be seen on CAT4 reports (regardless of whether a customer is signed up to the Value-Added Service). The Value-Added Service provides a measure that compares a cohort’s CAT4 results with their exam results to show what value a school has added. The CAT4 result represents a student’s natural ability and the exam results represent what they have achieved with the combination of their natural ability and the school’s teaching.
We offer the Value-Added service for GCSE, IGCSE and the IB diploma. We do not currently offer the service for A-level or for primary schools.
