Join us for a day of training and professional development as schools and school leaders come together to explore how data-driven approaches can support the teaching and learning of every student. Themes of discussion will include SEND support, student well-being and literacy.

With literacy expert-led session, interactive discussions, and hands-on strategies, this event will empower you to turn your assessment data into a strategy where it matters most - in the classroom.

Sessions

Morning session

The morning session will focus on SEND and student well-being, offering attendees the chance to hear directly from schools working on the ground. Through real-life  case studies and stories, we’ll explore how data-informed approaches can help identify and support students with additional needs. You'll discover how to better understand the social-emotional drivers behind student performance, and how you can support a more holistic picture of each learner.

Afternoon session

The afternoon will delve into the power of reading to personalise learning and support progress. The first session will spotlight how assessments like the New Group Reading Test (NGRT), can be used alongside other tools to create a personalised understanding of each student’s reading development. You will discover how to support targeted teaching and learning practice, foster reading engagement, and track progress over time.

Optional sessions (Data drop-ins and CAT4 training)

Option 1: Data drop-ins

Following this, you can choose to attend a data drop-in clinic led by Renaissance experts, offering tailored guidance and answers to your specific questions about Star Assessments, Accelerated Reader, and myON - perfect for improving understanding and supporting your school’s reading strategy.

Option 2: Introductory CAT4 training

Running alongside the clinic will be an introductory session on CAT4, designed to build your understanding of the data and how it can be used to inform  teaching, support differentiation, and personalise learning pathways for all students.
