SEND

Early detection of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) can transform a child’s prospects in life.

From dyslexia and dyscalculia to behavioural difficulties, specific SEND needs can be hard to spot in a class full of students. Our assessments will help you to pinpoint issues through both whole class and one-to-one testing. This means that when you suspect a child of having difficulties, you can start to introduce support immediately while waiting for input from external assessors or outside agencies.

Our assessments can help you:

  • Build up a picture of any learning difficulties your students may have

The award-winning Special Educational Needs Assessment Toolkit (SENAT) provides schools with the basic tools to identify any learning difficulties your students may be experiencing in order to inform timely and effective interventions.
  • Identify students with dyscalculic tendencies and intervene effectively

Distinguish between those who have poor maths ability and those with dyscalculic tendencies using our Dyscalculia Screener. The Dyscalculia Guidance Handbook provides intervention strategies for teachers and SENCOs supporting dyscalculic students.
  • Identify dyslexia and other learning needs early on, giving your students the best possible start in school

Quickly screen large numbers of students to identify those who may have dyslexia with Rapid then use follow on assessments CoPS and LASS for in-depth assessment of those children you identify as requiring further investigation.
  • Evaluate the speed and efficiency of your students working memory and processing speed

Recall quickly identifies children who require classroom intervention strategies to help support cognitive difficulties related to memory with practical advice and strategies that show you how to identify and support children with various types of working memory difficulty.
We were able to utilise the information gained from assessments to develop intervention programs and run booster sessions that targeted specific student needs that may have went unnoticed otherwise.
