To create a dyslexia index, a general ability score needs to be submitted from another assessment. These include: BPVS, CAT4 (NVR), Dyslexia Screener.
No, where a student may experience challenges maintaining attention for extended periods, it is recommended that rest breaks are offered. It is possible to complete subtests over several days, but we would suggest that all tests are completed within a week.
This will be different from student to student, depending on their results. In some instances, you may wish to make adaptations to universal provision and in others you might need to complete further investigations.
The Dyslexia Guidance Handbook (available to purchase separately) gives you practical advice on supporting students, from early years to higher education. It also includes additional information to support staff with understanding dyslexia.
