Doha College – How data is used at all levels to support teaching and learning

Published

Doha College has developed a comprehensive assessment structure that supports teaching and learning within the school.

Standardised assessments are used to set a benchmark for students as they join the school and then to check that student’s progress is meeting expectations; identify areas of the curriculum where students require further support and to inform literacy and EAL interventions.

The school has thought carefully about how to use the data effectively at different levels, from senior leadership to cohort and class level.

Nicola Miekle, Assistant Principal Transition and Derek Watson, Year 5 & 6 Phase Leader explain how they went about establishing this structure and the different ways data is used by different stakeholders.
